Patina（パティナ）は、時が育てる風合いのこと。
使い込まれた道具の艶、釉薬にゆっくり伸びる貫入、
長い時間だけがつくれる美しさの名前です。

このサイトについて

Patinaは、一服のお茶を入口に、日本文化の奥にある美意識へ
静かに降りてゆくための場所です。
毎日ひらく「今日の一服」と、九つの間。
説明ではなく、発見が積み重なるように。

Patina is a place to descend, quietly, from a single bowl of tea into the aesthetics beneath Japanese culture — a daily page, and nine rooms. Not explanations: discoveries.

つくり手

内容は、裏千家で茶の湯を学んでいるお稽古人が企画しています。
茶の湯は、学びおえるということのない道です。
知るほどに、花へ、器へ、言葉へ、建築へ——
一服の向こうがひらけていく。
その途上の実感から、このサイトはできています。

Planned by a student of tea in the Urasenke tradition. Tea is a path with no end of learning — the more you know, the more it opens: into flowers, vessels, words, architecture. This site is made from somewhere along that way.
